Hello and welcome to Curious Lynx Games - great to have you on board! Nat and Paul are here to write about new games we love, old games we keep coming back to, and all the thoughts and feelings those games bring to us.
Masterful design tricks?
How-to-play and How-to-teach?
Reviews of the latest hotness and our old favourites?
It’s all coming, and more - we can’t wait to get the conversation started with you all!
Who are we?
Originally entering the board gaming world through the great gateway game Carcassonne back around 2005, Paul attended his first Spiel in Essen and was blown away by the games on offer. A mathematician and programmer at heart, Paul worked in the video game industry for about 14 years, but never stopped collecting new games.
Married with 3 children, Paul has a lot of fun finding games that suit the differing tastes of his family and friends and has a lot of practice in how to teach a game’s rules in a way that will give everyone a good time.

With experience at the highest levels of competitive gaming, now with a collection of around 800 board games he plays with family and friends, Paul is really looking forward to sharing his breadth of experience around the things he loves most - shared social experiences through the medium of games in every form, enjoyed with friends around a table.
Paul may not know whether your Beef Wellington should be paired with a fruity Shiraz or a daring Bordeaux, or even if those adjective fit those wines at all. What he does know is whether after dinner that worker-placement deck-building hybrid is going to pique your interest, or whether it’s time to bust out the social deduction.

Nat fell hard into Magic at age 15 and played religiously for a couple of decades, eventually qualifying for PT Paris in 2011. He still enjoys a pre-release, and designs/maintains a set of cubes built around various play concepts. Designing cards and sets was a hobby almost from the start.
Undoubtedly his D&D persona would be some kind of Gnome Tinkerer, though currently he plays a Minotaur Ranger-Cleric. Around age 25, Paul introduced him to the world of other board games, and sometime after that he began building prototypes of games to try on exceptionally patient family and friends.
Dozens of game ideas on, he’s ready to take things to the next level and is excited to start pushing his creations into the world. Nat has a great passion for fantasy art, comic books, and classic Myths. His cats Thor and Loki help him stay calm in a chaotic world, and will doubtless be making an appearance soon. He looks forward to sharing his learnings gained and gaining with all Curious Lynx.
What else is brewing?
